      Whites eye Robbo move

Leeds United have made enquires about the availability of Bolton Wanderers defender Paul Robinson as manager Neil Warnock looks to strengthen his squad before the loan window shuts.

The 33-year-old has made 20 appearances for the Trotters in all competitions this season, but has failed to hold down a regular starting birth under Owen Coyle in recent weeks.

Former QPR manager Warnock is eager to bolster his defensive ranks this month following the departure of Adam Smith to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Championship outfit have been linked with a loan move for Leicester City’s Matt Mills after a reported falling out between the defender and manager Nigel Pearson.

However, Leeds will have to move quickly if they are to bring the experienced full-back to Elland Road with Burnley also registering an interest in the former West Bromwich Albion man.

Warnock is keen to bring the player to the club before the weekend’s visit of Championship league leaders Southampton, who have also been monitoring Robinson.
