    Villas-Boas prepares Porto raid

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is considering moving on FC Porto trio Hulk, Joao Moutinho and Alvaro Pereira in a bid to spark his Blues side into life.

The West Londoners have failed to challenge for the Premier League crown this season as they continue to battle Arsenal and Liverpool for a finish in the top four.

And with Saloman Kalou and Florent Malouda likely to leave the club at the end of the season, the 34-year-old has ear-marked the Brazilian powerhouse in a bid to improve his team’s side on the pitch.

"We have [Saloman] Kalou and [Florent] Malouda, both of whom are nearing the end of their contracts, while Juan Mata and Daniel Sturridge are the future," he told TSF.

"As such, there will surely be a place to fill and I see room for an explosive player on the wing, someone who is strong in one-on-one situations and Hulk fits that profile."

Chelsea were heavily linked with a move for the striker in January, but a moved failed to materialise due to owner Roman Abramovich’s unwillingness to match the Portuguese outfit’s £85m release clause.

And the young tactician has hinted at moves for the 25-year-old’s team-mates Moutinho and Pereira, adding: "They could surely play in the Premier League and at Chelsea."

Should Villas-Boas still find himself at the helm of the club come the end of the season, it has been expected that Abramovich will hand him a transfer war-chest as he looks to bring the Premiership back to Stamford Bridge, while landing the elusive Champions League for the first time in their history.
