      Gunners to revive midfielder interest

Arsenal are ready to renew their interest in Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila at the end of the season, with manager Arsene Wenger set to be handed an increased transfer budget for the summer.

The tenacious France international has long been linked with a move to the Emirates after a string of impressive displays for both club and country.

Reports suggest that the Gunners came close to signing the 21-year-old over the summer, but any move failed to materialise after the two clubs failed to agree a fee for the youngster.

And Wenger is ready to splurge on M’Vila when the transfer window re-opens in the summer as he looks to improve his lacklustre midfield.

With a long-term injury to talisman Jack Wilshere, coupled with the sales of Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas, the Frenchman has been forced to dip into the market in order to bolster his ranks.

However, the long-standing Arsenal manager has been disappointed with the performances of the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Tomas Rosicky and Alex Song this season and sees M’Vila as the perfect player to shape up his weak midfield.

The North London giants have also been linked with a moves for Mario Gotze and Eden Hazard as Wenger hopes to convince captain Robin Van Persie his future lies with the club.
