Demba Ba prefers PSG move

The most famous £7million release clause in football has been stirring up trouble again, that’s it you guessed it, another twist on the ever fascinating Demba Ba saga! Newcastle’s top scorer has been linked with a whole host of Premier League clubs including Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and more recently QPR. But now it appears as if Ba has his heart set on a move to the club he apparently supports reports the Metro.

'I  look at PSG as a fan, as a supporter,’ he said.

‘I have never concealed my attraction to the club as a fan, which I have been since I was little.’

The loss of Ba would be a massive blow to Newcastle who have been seriously struggling for goals when the eleven goal man misfires. Pappis Cisse has struggled to replicate his form from last season, scoring just five goals in all competitions and not linking up with his countryman Ba as some would have hoped.

If Ba does decide to hop across the channel it will also be a major disappointment to his Premier League suitors. Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and QPR have all had varying problems with their frontmen – Liverpool and QPR have one fit striker each, whilst Chelsea’s and Arsenal’s have been rather underwhelming – and at just £7m, will be kicking themselves if they miss out on one of the Premier League’s more consistent goalscorers from recent seasons.
