Swansea again look towards Dutch market

Its no secret that Swansea love to dip into the European market and more specifically the Dutch market and as Sky Sports News are reporting their latest recruit could be ADO Den Haag midfielder Jens Toornstra. Although it is believed that no contact has yet been made with Toornstra there are now substantial rumours linking the 23 year old with a move to England, whilst the player himself has expressed an interest in playing in The Premier League.

Should he join Swansea Toornstra might be forgiven for thinking he was playing in Amsterdam rather than Wales given the current crop of Dutch talent currently residing at The Liberty, with Michel Vorm, Dwight Tiendalli, Kemy Agustein and Jonathan De Guzman all playing leading roles in the Swan's terrific start to the season. Also the style of play currently being implemented in South Wales is a little bit more Dutch than British to put it politely, again meaning that Toornstra should have no problems settling into life at the Liberty.

Over the last few years there are not many teams who have done such efficient business in the transfer market with majority of players brought in by either Brendan Rogers or  Michael Laudrup making improvements to the squad with Michu, Chico Flores and Pablo Hernandez prime examples of this. Toornstra an ex Dutch under 21 international would add a greater sense of drive and energy to the Swan's already talented midfield and given the history of European players seamlessly fitting into life in South Wales it should be a move that would benefit both parties.
