      Liverpool told Anderlecht ace available

Liverpool have been told they can land Argentine midfielder Lucas Biglia for £8m reports TalkSport. The 26-year-old has two and a half years left on his contract at Anderlecht and it seems the Belgium club are prepared to accept suitable bids.

We have not formally received an offer for Lucas but we know that his agent is making moves in the transfer market," Anderlecht general manager Herman Van Holsbeeck told calciomercato.com.

"Biglia has two and a half years left on his contract and we would only consider letting him go if we receive an offer of €10.25m. He won't leave in January for a penny less."

Although Biglia is highly rated in Belgium, his best position is defensive midfield and in Brazilian Lucas Liverpool already have one of the best in the league at that position, as well as Nuri Sahin, Steven Gerrard and Joe Allen who are all capable of playing a deeper role. With such a lack of firepower up front and a need to keep costs down following several big transfer windows it seems a little unlikely that Brendan Rodgers will splash out £8m on a position he is already fairly well stocked in before strengthening his attack.

Another flaw in the plan could be the reported interest from AC Milan. The Italian giants are reportedly strongly interested in singing the former Independiente midfielder and with Nigel De Jong missing for the remainder of the season they could certainly do with him.

If Rodgers is really desperate to get his man and wants to do it at a lower price he would perhaps be better waiting until the summer if Van Holsbeek's quotes are anything to go by. ""That would obviously be the fee that would allow us to sell him immediately, we can re-evaluate in the summer, but in January he will not go for a penny less." It seems as if Biglia might be available at a much lower price once the Belgium side have had time to "re-evaluate".
