    Sturridge on the move

Daniel Sturrdige looks set to leave Stamford Bridge this January and will choose Anfield over White Hart Lane according to the Sun

The 23-year-old England striker is out of favour at Chelsea and is on the hunt for a new club.  That hunt apparently seems to have taken him to Liverpool despite Tottenham stepping in at the last minute.

It is thought that Sturridge isn’t keen on staying in London with Tottenham because of Andre Villas-Boas.  During his time at Stamford Bridge the Portuguese manager insisted on playing Sturridge on the wing instead of his preferred more central position and it appears that the England international may be holding a grudge.

Liverpool are desperate for a striker at the moment.  During their last league game against West Ham United they were so short of strikers that the inexperienced midfielder Jonjo Shelvey was tasked with leading the line.  Fortunately that day the well known and succesful striker Own Goals got on the score sheet but they can't rely on him for too much longer.

It seems odd that Chelsea who are moderately light up front would so easily put aside someone who has provided goals and looks like he could provide more, I'm sure Roman has a couple of targets up his sleeve for January though.
