    Sahin back to Borussia?

Borussia Dortmund are hoping to bring Nuri Sahin back.  The Turkish midfielder has been in Liverpool on loan from Real Madrid since the summer.  His loan spell has produced mixed reviews since his debut against Arsenal in September.  The 24-year-old has played twelve games in all competitions scoring three goals and providing three assists.  On the basis of those stats he is already considerably better than Stewart Downing and if he is available for anything less than Mr Downing's £20 million he will be value for money, certainly for Liverpool.

Dortmund are said to be very keen.  Talksport have reported that the Bundesliga club have approached Sahin's parent club Real Madrid to enquire about his availability.  It appears that Mourinho might be willing to let him go; so if Brendan Rodgers wants him he'll have to make a move.  Standing on the side of the dance floor and flashing him furtive glances won't win him over, especially when the club where he started out are keen to have him back.

Sahin has played thirty two times for his country making his debut against Germany, the country in which he was born.  He is the youngest player to play and score for Turkey.
