    Lescott back to Everton?

Joleon Lescott could be on his way back to Goodison Park according to the Mirror.  The centre back left Everton under a bit of a cloud in 2009 after he was removed from the squad due to his 'bad attitude' and formally requested a transfer.  He was ultimately sold to Manchester City for £24 million.  Not a bad return for someone who had three very good seasons at Goodison and only cost £5 million from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2006.

Mancini seems to have lost interest in the 30-year-old England international and will need to get him off the club's books in order to bring another player in.  It is thought that Lescott's move could prompt all manner of wheeler-dealer-ing from Everton manager David Moyes.  There is a possibility of Johnny Heitinga being sold to Galatasaray in order to make room for Lescott and two French strikers, Kevin Gameiro and Wissam Ben Yedder, to come in as well.  With Moyes looking to maintain his push for the Champions League, squad strengthing is in order.  If he could get three players in for the loss of only one it will represent yet another good piece of transfer business from the wily Scot.  He'll need to watch out though, that much transfer activity might cause all sorts of confusion amongst Everton fans.
