      Juventus looking for Drogba loan

Didier Drogba is close to a loan move to Juventus, according to the Daily Mail. Drogba, the former Chelsea player and Stamford Bridge star, is currently playing in China with Shanghai Shenhua. The Chinese Super League has finished and doesn't start up again until the Spring.

Didier Drogba will be leading his country, Cote d'Ivoire, at the African Cup of Nations in South Africa in the new year and in order to stay sharp for the tournament he has been training with his old club. However he is keen to play some competitive fixtures and Juventus have stepped up to sign the Elephants captain. It is unclear how many games the 34-year-old Ivorian would be available for in Serie A but I'm sure that Juve will be very keen to get him on the pitch as much as possible.

Juventus are currently top of the league and four points clear of Inter Milan, but they have stuttered a little in the league recently with two defeats in their last six games and the boost of Drogba's goals and physical presence could get them motoring again. If they do hang on at the top of the league it would be Juventus' twenty ninth championship, almost all of which have been won legally.
