    Henry to return again, again?

Thierry Henry is on the verge of his second Arsenal comeback, according to the Daily Mail. The New York Red Bulls striker, who was seen at the Emirates Stadium during Arsenal's 2-0 victory over West Brom at the weekend, is an Arsenal legend.  He is the clubs all time top scorer with 228 goals in 376 games in all competitions and recently a statue of Henry was unveiled outside the Emirates Stadium.  Not a bad way to massage one's ego....

Since the 35-year-old French striker has been at the New York Red Bulls he has scored a total of 32 goals in 66 games in all competitions.  Not losing any of his cutting edge, though in that league, frankly, my Mum would give him a run for his money.

Given Arsenal's current plight, 7th in the league and 15 points behind the leaders Manchester United, Arsene Wenger will be forgiven for trying to put together a team from yesteryear to recapture some of the Gunners better form and some team spirit.  I'm holding out for Ray Parlour and Nigel Winterburn to get dragged back on to the pitch to stiffen the spine of the team during a tricky away game against Stoke.

Another short stint at the club during the MLS off-season seems to be on the cards and whatever Henry might have lost on the field he will more than make up for in his influence on the team in the dressing room.
