      Coyle not coy over Scotland

Owen Coyle has told the BBC that he would be "open" to offers for the Scotland job.  The former Bolton manager told the BBC that he has already spurned two other job offers from teams in England.  It would appear that Mr Coyle is putting all of his eggs in one tartan covered basket.  He went on to say "It's a fantastic job for whoever's lucky enough to be asked to lead Scotland."

The former Bolton and Burnley manager was born in Glasgow and in a lengthy playing career played for Bolton and a host of Scottish teams (Airdree, Dundee United, Motherwell, Dumbarton etc) but represented the Republic of Ireland (briefly) is a proud Scot and keen for the job.

The competition is well and truly hotting up.  The Scottish FA have a host of managers to choose from and whoever gets it has a serious task on their hands.  The proud nationalist managing an average footballing nation with little hope of success.  The very definition of an accident waiting to happen?
