Just how desperate is Paul Lambert to exterminate every trace of Darren Bent from Aston Villa?

Having quickly decided this season that Bent is not the man for him, the England international has since been relegated to the bench in favour of Christian Benteke, who despite finding form of late has the air of a "couldn't hit a Cow's backside with a banjo" about him.

Now, the Daily Mail are reporting that Lambert's search for an alternative to Bent has taken him to Swedish teenage striker Ihab Naser, a 15-year-old who once featured for Chelsea in a pre-season friendly match.

Villa fans may be asking the question: a £24 million proven striker, or a 15-year-old trialist?
