Three way fight for ridiculously young youngster

It's a dispiriting time as you encounter your own mortality at the age of around 19 or 20 and you realise that you probably are never going to make it as a footballer now so stick on that shirt, dig out the tie and say hello to the desk job.

Well, if you're 15 and reading this then the above statement now applies to you as this latest story demonstrates so gave fun in that future pencil pushing career of yours.

Sky Sports are reporting that Manchester City, Manchester United and Sunderland are all chasing Rangers goalkeeping starlet Robby McCrorie.

    Who is 14.

The youngster has already trained with the Rangers first team despite his tender years and is being tipped for the top after appearing regularly for Scottish youth teams and in the Victory Shield.

Sky Sports believe the three clubs want to lure the 14-year-old south of the border and Rangers will struggle to keep him due to their current predicament of being in the basement league in Scotland.

Oh, and one last point, Robby McCrorie may well be the most Scottish name ever containing a name ending in “obby” and a last name combining a “Mc” and a “Rory”. Kudos.
