    Trotta is the Bee's knees

Del boy’s half-brother has joined Brentford on loan.

Fulham gaffer Martin Jol has put his foot down and told Marcello Trotta that if he wants to start playing in the Cottagers’ first team, then he is to go out and prove himself in the lower leagues.

Trotta is at the stage of his career now when he turns into a man, earns the hairs on his chest and makes a case for himself as a key player for a team. Whether that is Fulham (unlikely) or a team in a weaker division, the 20-year old has made the move that could platform his plans of bigger things.

This time next year Marcello, you’ll be a millionaire…

The lanky striker has had spells with Napoli, with whom he started his football career, and Manchester City before switching allegiances to Fulham in 2009. His most prolific spell was when he was loaned to Wycombe Wanderers (very alluring) where he netted 8 times in 8 games, proving that the man has tekkers.

In an attempt to rekindle the form he showed in the depths of  the Football League, he decided to sign for Watford on a short term deal, only to return to his parent club with just 1 appearance for the Hornets.

    Marcello, you plonker!
