      Blackburn to sign regal striker

No, it is not Prince Harry.

Josh King is apparently on his way down the M65 to have a medical at Blackburn ahead of his loan move to Rovers, and to become Henning Berg’s first royal appointment for the club.

King has been in the Manchester United ranks since he was just 16 and has longed to become the new Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. His nationality may be the same as the former United hero but there’s a long way to go before he can master the act of looking like he is 12-years old when in fact he was about 30.

The young man has been around the world in search of first-team football because let’s face it, with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie, Javier Hernandez, Danny Welbeck and (cough) Federico Macheda, it is unlikely that King will ever get a sniff.

He has spent time in glamorous places such as Preston, Borussia Monchengladbach and Hull City in an attempt to make a name for himself as a striker, but his two substitute appearances for the Old Trafford outfit remains the crown jewels of his short, staggered career.

King will have to work hard to win a spot in the striker role at Eawood Park, as Jordan Rhodes, Colin Kazim-Richards and Nuno Gom... Okay, just Jordan Rhodes, is smashing in goals for fun right now.

King is 20, it is hard to find players of that age that has several good seasons on top level. And he has got 4 senior caps for Norway (one goal). The main competitor has played a staggering 40 games or whatever in League One. So I guess the author is right. Kng hasn't got a chanse against the king of League One.
