Ex-Barcelona starlet on Rodgers' radar?

Brendan Rodgers has often spoken of his so-called "philosophy" or "method" of playing football in his short time as Liverpool manager and now it appears his desire to turn the underachieving Merseysiders into a mini-Barcelona are beginning to take shape.
No, unfortunately Reds' fans its not Andres Iniesta or Lionel Messi joining the ranks at Anfield. Hell it's not even a current Barcelona player.
Instead, the Metro are reporting that ex-Barcelona winger Jeffren, currently plying his trade in Portugal with Sporting Lisbon is being eyed up by Rodgers in a potential January purchase.
The Spanish Under-21 international's biggest claim to fame to date is scoring the fifth and final goal in Barcelona's 5-0 win over Real Madrid in late 2010, a fact that is often forgotten amidst the eulogies surrounding the Catalan's performances that night.
Indeed, Jeffren would seemingly represent everything Rodgers wants his Liverpool side to embody: short, quick, good on the ball, lightweight and perhaps unsuited to the Premier League.
Just a slight difference from the purchases of Andy Carroll, Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson by Kenny Daglish from seasons past - players all full of dash, pace and technique.
Could Jeffren be the signing that takes Liverpool beyond the level of Oussama Assaidi?
