Berg full of praise for Rhodes

Blackburn boss Henning Berg has Jordan Rhodes to thank after he saw his striker net a hat trick which resulted in a first win for the new Blackburn man.

Berg’s side won 4-1 away at Peterborough today and Rhodes seems to have left off from mid week when he scored two goals for Scotland against Luxembourg as he scored his first hat trick for the club.

After today’s result Rhodes is now Blackburn’s top scorer and it seems the young Scot is beginning to show everyone why he was such a hot piece of property in the transfer window this summer.

Berg’s star striker certainly knows where the goal is and caught everyone’s eye in the 2011-12 season with his impressive league form of 36 goals in 40 appearances.  His amazing scoring form was the catalyst for Huddersfield’s promotion that year.

Berg was full of admiration of Rhodes and the rest of his team for that matter. He was that full of confidence he may have hinted that Blackburn will be back in the Premiership next season after only a year out! They certainly seem on course to achieving this as they are sitting in the last play-off spot in the division.
