Joey Barton has made up his mind on where his future lies, on the other side of The English Channel.

The QPR midfielder is currently on a season long loan at Ligue 1 side Marseille.

Barton left London this summer following another poor display of on field behaviour in the 3-2 defeat to Manchester City on the final day of the season and subsequent fallout with the hierarchy at Loftus Road.

The 12 match ban Barton received following his red card at City was transferred to Ligue 1, meaning Barton’s appearances have been limited to the Europa League.

Despite not making his league debut for Marseille, the Daily Mirror report Barton wants to make his stint at the Stade Velodrome a permanent one.
