Liverpool look to Russia for Anzhi forward

No Liverpool fans, unfortunately it's not Samuel Eto'o.

The Mirror today is reporting that Anzhi's 6ft 8in Lacina Traore, scoring of the winner between the two sides in their Europa League clash in Moscow last weke, has emerged as a target for the Anfield club.

The move for a player of his height would surely come as a surprise under the stewardship of Brendan Rodgers, who of course disposed of Andy Carroll seemingly because of the fact that he was big and English rather than small, cultured and foreign.

I suppose needs must, if you can't beat them, buy them!
