Neymar hasn’t the physical presence to play in England

In a recent interview, Brazilian legend Pele was comparing the similarities between Lionel Messi and Neymar and how Neymar has the potential to be world class. However Pele later added that English clubs shouldn’t approach the young forward from Santos as he lacks the physicality for the Premier League.
Last year Neymar was offered an opportunity to play in England but turned it down. When Pele heard this he told everyone in his press conference that he went to see Neymar, his agent and his father and discussed with the three of them that it wasn’t in Neymar’s best interest to go to England yet as he isn’t physically strong enough.
Although Neymar is a wonderful player and naturally gifted he does have a reputation to be one that makes the most of any fouls and ensures that referees see that he could potentially be half killed when he is fouled. He has a tendency to go for a free roll when he is fouled.
This tendency to roll around wouldn’t be tolerated in England and Neymar would have to toughen up to be as effective in England. This is the reason Pele feels Neymar shouldn’t move to England yet.
When Santos played Barcelona in the World Club Championship Barca convincingly played Santos off the park and the defence made sure Neymar didn’t get any time on the ball. This would be the same in England as the Premier league defensives are thought to be even tougher.
