Chelsea and Everton are in for Cardozo

The 29 year old Paraguayan has a deal that is expected to expire in 2014, however it was expected that Cardozo would agree a new deal this season. Although at this present time the deal has been frozen because of the demands for money from the striker.
Cardozo’s demand for a pay rise may mean that he will be on his way out of Benfica. With Chelsea’s financial backing there is no doubt they would be able to accommodate for the wages but Cardozo would risk missing out on regular first team action. On the flip side he would more than likely have a better opportunity at Everton but whether the Toffee’s would be able to afford the players wages would be the question.
Cardozo is a natural finisher and he has started this season in fine form. He has scored four goals in four games as he looks to reach his 100 goal mark for Benfica in under 150 appearances for the club.
