      Jewell snaps up striker

There are certain players that have always seemed to good for one level but not quite good enough for the next level up.

DJ Campbell is one of those players it seems.

The striker has had stints at Birmingham City and QPR to try and prove himself at Premier League but has never managed to secure a first team place at these teams, making only 12 appearances for Rangers since joining the club 14 months ago for £1.2 million.

Now, Ipswich have signed the 30-year-old on a three month loan deal according to the BBC despite being linked with a move back to Blackpool on a loan deal.

The striker said: “Working with [manager] Paul [Jewell] at this great club was something that really interested me.”
