Bilbao saga drags on and on

If you believe gossip columns, then Fernando Llorente has been moving to Arsenal for ages and ages.  Whether or not the 27-year-old will ever make the move to North London club is debatable and it is looking even more tenuous now that Italian big dogs Juventus have stuck their incredibly rich noses in.

Rumours suggest that Juve will try to tempt Llorente with a long term deal worth £145,000 a week.  If this is the case then it seems incredibly unlikely that Fernando will be visiting the Emirates any time soon.  However with Llorente's contract running out this summer, Bilbao are likely to have to accept a cut price deal for the Spaniard.

The hole left at Arsenal by RVP is certainly a large one but knowing Mr Wenger like we all feel we do, i cant see him giving Llorente an offer anywhere near the size of Juve's.  It is more likely that he will either pick a cheaper option or look to Giroud and Gervinho to step it up and fill some very big shoes.

No matter who Wenger brings in as centre forward he will either have to rotate with Giroud or we change formation to 4-4-2 which is not very popular right now. This of course is the modern day `ego` problem, especially amongst strikers, they`re the `glory boys` and they play to the crowd. Myself I wouldn`t be going overboard for a `striker`. Giroud`s confidence must not be broken and Gervinho has already proved he can handle the role, albeit on a short term basis. Much will depend on the Walcott outcome in January and the goalkeeper situation. Other than that we`ve got our team for the season let`s settle it down and watch it develop.
