Arsenal striker on the move

It may be a sleepy, hungover Saturday morning, but all over the country Arsenal fans could be chinking glasses of a beverage or two in delight if the Sun's report that Marouane Chamakh could finally be set to depart the club in January and return to former club Bordeaux.
Arsene Wenger famously tracked the 28-year-old for almost two years, delaying any possible signing of an actually good centre-forward as he waited for Chamakh to become available on a free transfer. The Morroccan did make a bright start to life at the Emirates but after Robin Van Persie returned from injury, his confidence visibly wilted and his recent appearances saw the Gunners fan debating who was worse, Chamakh, or Park Chu Young.
Indeed, the last time Chamakh scored for the club in any match, even pre-season, was August 2011. Even Park's scored a goal for the Gunners since then. That probably tells you all you need to know about Chamakh's time in North London.
