    Sir Alex reveals Young concern

Manchester United could be without instrumental forward Ashley Young for Saturday's Premier League trip to Everton with a toe injury.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that Young, as well as a couple of other players, is a fitness worry ahead of the tough trip to Goodison Park, but the Reds' boss insisted that the niggles in the squad "are nothing serious".

"We have one or two knocks. Ashley Young has a toe injury and we'll see what he's like today," Ferguson said.

"The knocks are nothing serious and I hope we'll have a strong enough squad for tomorrow."

United will be hoping to put in a moral-boasting performance - and result - after last Sunday's 6-1 mauling to rivals City at Old Trafford, but Ferguson admitted that his side face a difficult task against David Moyes' outfit.

"It's always a difficult game at Everton. I went to their game on Wednesday night (against Chelsea in the Carling Cup).

"They all put a shift in and are always committed."
