QPR midfield duo targets for Champions League side

Serie A outfit Napoli are lining up bids for QPR's dynamic midfield pair Adel Taarabt and Alejandro Faurlin, according to reports.

Speculation has been gaining momentum over recent months that playmaker Taarabt is reportedly unsettled at Loftus Road after numerous bust-ups with players and the management; however, the Hoops would presumably command a substantial fee.

The Moroccan international was on the verge of a summer switch to French side PSG, with a sum understood to be in the region of £16 million, but the transfer collapsed.

Taarabt, who was stripped of the QPR captaincy after Joey Barton's arrival, admitted that he is flattered to be linked with the Champions League side, although contrary to reports, he insisted that he is happy in London.

"I am flattered by my name being linked with an enormous club like Napoli who the best player of all time [Diego Maradona] played for," Sky Sports News quotes Taarabt as saying

"QPR know there is interest so it is up to them but I am happy to win games for them and the future will tell. For the moment I am happy here."

Meanwhile, Argentinian wide man Faurlin has shone in the Premier League with some inspiring performances, and boss Neil Warnock will be keen to hold onto his tallisman.
