Can the team from the eternal city join the revolution

"I didn't come to Roma for the money. I am here because the club have faith in me. However, if the players don't follow my lead, I might have to re-consider my future."

Handshakes, money and the UEFA way

When you use a search engine on the world wide web and type in 'soccer hooligans' unsurprisingly the sites that instantly pop up are the ones dealing with the British aspect, referring to hooliganism as 'The English Disease'. The emergence of the pint-sized playmaker

There is absolutely nothing better than seeing a wee-man scuttle his way through the midfield with a fine bit of trickery before releasing the marauding front-man to tuck away with a superb finish. And while it may have been a rarity in the Premiership in seasons past, all of a sudden a crop of the technically brilliant play-makers has emerged to light up England’s top league.

Rise of Wolfsburg: Can Magath’s madness lead Die Wolfe back to the top?

As a manager Felix Magath is known as “Quälix” to his players. “Quälix” is the mashed up word of his first name Felix and the German word for torture ‘quälen’. Quite a word, to describe your manager; but that’s what Magath is all about. Fitness, discipline, conditioning; “Quälix” is all about prepping up his players to battle it on the pitch. His detached man-management and strict methods, while harsh on players have produced the goods during his management career. Back at Wolfsburg, he’s aim once again is simple: make them champions.

Football through the night @ Lukaku wants CL football, Campbell loving it at Loftus and United and Arsenal target staying put

It took Massimo Moratti five competitive games into the new season to see another manager feel the full wrath of his forceful hand. Gian Piero Gasperini took over the vacant space left by Leonardo, who left for Paris St. Germain over the summer, and was a somewhat surprising choice for the trigger happy chairman. Having previously plied his trade with Crotone and Genoa, it was understandably going to be a whole other ball game when Inter came calling for the 53-year-old.

Is there any way back for Serie A?

Whilst many leagues around the world have evolved and greatly changed, serie A is still dogged by the stillness which has seen the player’s union calling for nationwide strikes. But with a league that has allowed great Milan teams conquer the world, would it be fair to say Serie A is in complete disarray?
