Manchester United Eye Vidal - Why The Chile Star Could Fire Them To Premier League Glory

Manchester United faced rejection throughout most of last summer until they managed to secure Marouane Fellaini towards the end of the transfer window. They were heavily linked with many players, but were publically humiliated when they were rejected. This could have been down to the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson or because of David Moyes' inexperience in handling big-money moves. Whatever the reason was, Louis van Gaal is determined to not let that happen this summer.

With a deal for Luke Shaw in place and Ander Herrera already signed up, van Gaal has certainly started his career at United on the right foot. Some would say that he has paid too much for the pair, but quality comes at a price. The Netherlands boss doesn't look set to stop anytime soon as he is already after his third signing. Arturo Vidal is now on the radar of Manchester United, according to the Daily Star, as the Red Devils search for the perfect midfield partner for Ander Herrera.

Vidal is the player that will complement Herrera perfectly. The Chilean is having a great summer in Brazil as he has admirably led his country to qualification to the last 16 of the World Cup. In terms of his domestic campaign, he was at the heart of Juventus' Scudetto victory last season. He is such an important player for club and country and his performances bring success. The 27-year-old could do the same at United and that is why van Gaal is after him.

Vidal is one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the world and what allows to lay claim to that title is the fact that he is excellent in every department. He is defensively sound, a danger in attack, intelligent and brave, as well as having a certain amount of flair and creativity, an eye for goal and a superb range of passing. It is rare that you find such a complete midfielder, but you have that with the Juventus star and that is why he could fire United to Premier League glory next season.
