Chelsea Watching £6.5m Serie A Right-Back With 8 Assists This Season - Player Report

Juventus won Serie A this season, making it three in a row. They have such a strong spine to the team it's hard to see them losing the title any time soon as Gianluigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini, Paul Pogba, Andrea Pirlo and Carlos Tevez continue to produce the goods. One man who is on the fringe of the first team, though, is Stephan Lichsteiner.

The Switzerland international made 27 appearances this season but is being linked with a £6.5 million move to Chelsea, who are said to be keeping a close eye on the winger.

In Juventus' 3-5-2 formation the 30-year-old has operated as the right wing-back but he is also used to playing higher up the pitch. He is a speedy player who exposes the slow pace of the Italian top tier by bursting up the field and getting balls into the box.

This season he claimed eight assists and scored two goals.

Should he arrive at the club I would imagine he would be back up to Branislav Ivanovic, though the big Serbia international could move into a central slot should John Terry leave.

Check out this video to see more of Lichsteiner.
