Return Of Injured Arsenal Star Will Boost The Emirates Club - Here's Why

Arsenal entered 2014 top of the league and in high spirits. The fans believed that they could challenge for the title but with injuries and a huge dip in form, they now find themselves worrying whether they'll be playing Champions League football next season.

The slip has basically caused riots from the fans who are deeply disappointed to see their beloved football receive tonkings from Liverpool and Chelsea. However, some pride was restored when they held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw on Saturday. Now Arsenal need to push on and need to start gettng players back to do so.

According to Sky Sports, Abou Diaby is line to make his return to the Gunners squad very soon.

There are a couple of reasons why the return of Abou Diaby should be greatly received by Arsenal fans. The first reason is that he can get them Champions League football, if he can stay fit, as he has the potential to be one of the best midfielders on the planet, for me. Technically he has it all - pace, power, energy, creativity, vision, strength, aerial prowess and many more attributes.

If he slips in alongside Mikel Arteta, he has the ability to dictate games and provide that power in midfield that the Gunners lack.

There's no way I can compare him to Yaya Toure, as he's a level above most, but if you wanted that comparison in terms of abilities and position then the Ivorian is the man you look at.

The other reason is that Diaby will add depth, experience and maturity on the pitch, which can only benefit the players that play on the same team as him. As he's also playing for a place in France's World Cup squad he, more than most, needs to prove he has what it takes to be on that plane.
