Nasri Hails 'Magician' Wenger, Which Should Remind Arsenal Fans To Keep The Faith

It’s that time of year when even the most neutral football fan begin their blasting of Arsenal and Arsene Wenger, falling into a negative warp of believing Arsenal will fall away at the last hurdle, unable to overcome teams when it matters most.  Former Gunner Samir Nasri, however, who left under a cloud at the Emirates in 2011 to join Manchester City, spoke of his faith and praise of Arsene Wenger in a recent report and labelled his former mentor and fellow Frenchman “a magician”.

Eight years is a long time without a trophy but that bit of luck has to come eventually. All the negativity surrounding the potential demise of Arsenal’s season is built on the back of this evidence, too.

Yes, Arsene Wenger cannot just rest on luck to help them through the dark times, but they had plenty of it when Arsenal’s ‘Invincibles’ went a whole season un-defeated.

If Arsenal get past Everton at home in the quarter final of the FA Cup this weekend, then they have one foot in the huge, marble doors of Wembley.  Their record in the FA Cup at this stage of the competition has been outstanding, winning 10 of their 11 last – eight ties, with the only defeat coming against Manchester United in 2011.

Arsenal are still hurting from their loss at Stoke City in the Premier League last weekend and will want to bounce back in true style, so keep the faith.
