Arsenal Striker On His Way Out Of The Emirates - Who Cares?

Nicklas Bendtner has today admitted that his time at The Emirates could be up. He has been quoted as saying (via the Metro) "I’m not going to stay at Arsenal – first team football is what I’m after".

He has been at Arsenal for nine seasons now and there has been nothing to suggest that he will come into form and start playing well. He has been loaned out to Birmingham City, Sunderland and Juventus during his time at Arsenal - surely that's a sign that he isn't involved in Arsene Wenger's plans for the future. Add to that the emergence of Yaya Sanogo, who appears to be above the Danish striker in the pecking order, and Bendtner's hopes of even coming off the bench are small to say the least.

But what club would take a chance on him? He is lethargic at the best of times, has poor control and his finishing is not up to Premier League standards, scoring only 24 goals in 106 appearances in all competitions.

Bendtner has an unwanted tag attached to him in this country of being useless, and it's hard to argue against that. In my view, there are teams in the bottom half of the league that would look at alternatives to Bendtner, as his style is very slow, much unlike the Premier League.

He should move abroad for a fresh start, although I can foresee him wanting high wages which most clubs will not be able to afford.
