Chelsea Target 32-Goal Striker: Here's Why He Would Be The Perfect Signing

Reports suggest that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is ready to make an audacious £40 million bid for Atletico Madrid’s hit man, Diego Costa.
This is the kind of transfer talk that would have everyone on edge if rumours are true, as the centre forward is world class and has incredibly scored 32 times in just 42 games for Atletico this season with three league assists.
The player is only 25 years old and could be seen as a long term successor to Samuel Eto'o and Fernando Torres.
The move could see Fernando Torres, who hasn’t featured enough for Chelsea this season or last, return to his boyhood club in a swap deal, but it is understood that Atletico prefer to buy younger players with a huge buy - out clause.
Chelsea have clearly lacked power and pace in the forward department since the departure of Didier Drogba to Turkish side, Galatasary, but still somehow, find themselves top of the Premier League with only a handful of games to go. They are also in the quarter-finals of the Champions league.
Could this tempt the Spain international to part ways with his beloved club?
Diego Costa will no doubt be in hot demand during the summer following his incredible season to date, yet this is the kind of player Arsenal need to bolster their depleted squad. Could Arsene Wenger tempt the power house centre forward into joining the Emirates over Chelsea?
