Why Arsenal Star Should Forget About Move To Manchester City

Bacary Sagna has been linked with a summer move to Man City today, as the Frenchman is out of contract in the summer.

Sagna is 31 years of age now, so he will probably have one big contract left before retirement, so a move to City would probably suit him and his bank balance. The problem is, however, that he will not be first choice right-back, whilst Pablo Zabaleta is still at the club.

As a result, there is not much sense behind the proposed move beyond the high wages that City will inevitably pay. 

Left-back is an area of weakness at the Etihad and should the whispers that Clichy and Kolarov are on their way out transpire, it would leave a vacancy.

Sagna is unproven at left-back, though, and with the near unlimited funds City have available, a high quality left-sided defender, such as Luke Shaw, would be a much better option. 

Sagna is likely to leave Arsenal in the summer, and after supposedly turning down a move to Inter Milan, he clearly wants to stay in the UK, but a move to Manchester would be the wrong move in my view.
