Arsenal Target Given The Green Light To Leave - Here's Why He'd Be The Perfect Addition

The Daily Mirror reports that Yann M’Vila has been told that he can leave Rubin Kazan in the summer, and in my opinion he is exactly what the Arsenal need.

Arsene Wenger showed a great interest in M’Vila two seasons ago while he was still at Rennes, but now that midfielder is back on the market surely he must be a target.

There are also reports that the versatile Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender, who Wenger tried to sign in January, is also a top target for the summer.

However, I feel that M’Vila is the better option for what Arsenal need right now. One of the main characteristics of all title-winning sides is pace and power and Arsenal lack both.

Although if I was Wenger and I had the reported £140 million to spend, I'd move for them both!

The re-signing of Mathieu Flamini has had a great influence on the team, and although he reads the game well, Flamini lacks a physical presence in the centre of midfield.

Since his departure in 2005, Arsenal have never replaced Patrick Vieira with another dominant midfielder, although they did think he had with Abou Diaby.

There is no denying that Ramsey, Wilshere, Arteta and Rosicky are good players but in games against Chelsea and Manchester City they have been over-run and out-muscled in midfield.

M’Vila would be a perfect summer acquisition and would signify a step in the right direction to making them ‘real’ title contenders next season.
