Wenger The Reason Why Arsenal Fail Against The Big Clubs

Arsenal’s 6-0 thrashing by Chelsea has highlighted a worrying trend this year, a trend of Arsenal taking a heavy beating at their main title rivals. They lost 6-3 at Manchester City, 5-1 at Liverpool and now this capitulation. The reason for these failures seems to lie with the fact that Wenger just will not change his system against the top teams, and the results have been abysmal.

This slightly arrogant approach is one that looks to have cost Arsenal the title this year. Not having the modesty to approach different teams with a differing set-up is a failure from the management team.

Arsenal have a wonderful team, with some wonderful individual players. Yet this inability to control and dominate games against teams with lots of power and pace is a massive concern not just for this season, but future ones.

    Will Wenger ever learn?

Past history points to no. This must be increasingly frustrating for the faithful Arsenal support.

Wenger’s biggest strength is also his biggest weakness which is the complete and utter faith in his team and their style of play, which he absolutely won’t change, no matter the circumstances.

Pride comes before a fall. Wenger should remember this quote before more title chases end in failure.

It was a sobering day for Arsenal on Saturday. Whether it was sobering enough for Wenger to adjust his philosophy at times for the good of the club, is unlikely.

It's not just his fault. It's the players who are to blame more than him. He put his faith and trust in them and they let the club him and themselves down. They bottle it ever time against the so called bigger teams. He put them on that pitch to do a job and they failed badly. I'm sick to death of everyone blaming Arsene Wenger . Those players also need to have a good long look at themselves. Remember what this man has done for the club all these years. Not so long ago everyone was singing his praise's.. What short memerioes we all have.
