Arsenal Need To Offload Crocked Midfielder - Here's Why

For some players, the injuries they receive on a monthly basis can mentally destroy them. As a result, many have been forced to quit the game because they can't cope with it all. Dean Ashton is a famous case as he was forced to retire early due to injuries. Arsenal have a number of players that are struggling with injuries, with two who stand out.

Jack Wilshere is one, and Abou Diaby is the other, and it is the latter who is this article. The Frenchman has been injured since last season but has passed a few deadlines on his way to returning as he has suffered a few injury set backs. However, InsideFutbol have reported that Diaby is determined to get back to match fitness and prove to Didier Deschamps that he should be in the World Cup squad.

But, despite Diaby's clear determination, I don't think he has much time left as a footballer. He has had so many injuries to his legs that, even if he does return, you can't bet against him injuring something else.

His legs are very weak and he's still at risk from picking up injuries that aren't associated with that area of the body. A broken foot, for example. He's said before that he's put the injuries behind him and he feels much stronger, but he just picks up another injury just a month or two later. It's a sad story because he is an incredibly gifted footballer.

Diaby doesn't actually have that much time left in terms of age as he's approaching his 28th birthday. With potentially just a few seasons left at the top, if he can maintain fitness, it's not a great deal of time for him to prove he was the wait. With the summer transfer window just around the corner as well, Arsene Wenger may look at bringing in more midfield options which will only limit Diaby's potential game time further.

It's a sticky situation for the Frenchman and I feel it can only end in tears for him. It is horrible to have to come to terms with as an Arsenal fan who has seen him tear apart teams when on form.
