Arsenal Linked With Bundesliga Defender - Here's Why The Move Would Be A Good One

With a whole bunch of contract talks this week involving other players, such as Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey, there is still no word on Bacary Sagna - a player that Arsenal have been trying to tie down to a new contract for a few months now but with no luck yet.

This has forced Wenger into looking for replacements already, just in case Sagna does leave. Media outlets picked up on this fact a couple of months ago and have been linking right-backs with the Gunners ever since.

The latest name to be thrown into the hat is Lukasz Piszczek. The Metro are the ones that have linked the north London to the Dortmund star. 

There are a few reasons why Piszczek to Arsenal is an exciting prospect that should be pursued by Arsenal.

The first is that he is an experienced right-back that has played at the top of his game for a few seasons now. What Arsenal need is an experienceddefender, which makes Piszczek the perfect player for the Emirates outfit. Sagna has been a stalwart at the back this season so his successor will have to fill some quite large shoes. 

The other reason that I'll mention in this post is that Piszczek is a quality player that has been a consistent member of the Dortmund team for a few seasons, and played a big part in their Champions League adventure last season.

He's a player that loves to get forward and take part in the build up play in attacks but he doesn't ever ditch his defensive duties to fulfil his attacking wishes. He's smart and knows the game well so he should be high on the list of right backs that Arsene Wenger should consider signing.
