Arsenal Give Wenger £100m Summer Kitty - Who Should The Frenchman Sign?

The Telegraph have revealed that Arsenal will give £100 million to Arsene Wenger to spend on players in the summer. It's a massive boost, but who should he sign, and in what positions?

Its clear to many football fans that Arsenal need a striker. Olivier Giroud has improved this season, but performances have dropped in recent weeks and with no established secondary striker to come in and score 10-15 goals a season, Wenger needs to spend big money on a top class striker.

I think the perfect fit is Atletico Madrid's Diego Costa. He has pace, skill, flair and the ability to finish from nearly every angle on the field. His interplay and creative attributes are mostly forgotten about but Costa could be the man to add firepower to the Arsenal ranks.

The right-back position is another area where strength in depth is lacking. Bacary Sagna has had a superb career at the Gunners but I can't help but feel fresh blood is required, especially with the Frenchman's contract fastly running out.

Martin Montoya of Barcelona could be the answer. He is young (22) and knowing Wenger's history of signing young players, this transfer could be a big move. Montoya has pace, which Arsenal's style of play relies on and has a greater crossing ability than Sagna, in my view.

Another area of potential improvement is between the sticks. Wojciech Szczesny has improved over recent years, but has the tendency to make mistakes and be sent off, as a result. PSG's Salvatore Sirigu has been linked with a move away from Paris and is a more than stable keeper, who at a moderate price tag, could be interested in a move.

These are the three areas that Arsenal need to improve on, in my opinion. If the money is spent wisely, could we see the Arsenal that have been missing for the last 5-6 years?

"Who should the Frenchman sign" ? Whoever is cheapest.

    " In Arsene we rust."

You forgot defensive midfielder; Arsenal really need a top class player in that position. Arteta and Flamini are good, but not world class. If you really study the game at Anfield we were torn apart in that area.

We don't need a great keeper, we already have one in Szczesny, an experienced back up would do.
We will need a Centre Back as Vermaelen is on the way out; Hinteregger or Ginter would be excellent choices.
Im hoping Sagna stays, but if not, Coleman, Richards or Piszczek would be good.
At DCM, Flamini and Arteta are both good, but both lack that bit of pace, I would go for Schneiderlin.
And Costa would be the perfect choice for a new CF, forget Morata and Draxler.

Right back replacement if Sagna leaves: Richards or Montoya.
    Goalkeeper replacement for Fabianski: Viviano
Centre back replacement if Vermaelen leaves: Someone young, who will start to peak about the time Koscielny and Mertesacker hit 31.
Cm replacement for Arteta and Flamini who will both decline: Pogba
    Lm replacement for Podolski: Reus
    Striker replacement for Giroud: Lukaku
Only player who needs to be added to the squad now to add competition to St/Wings: Draxler.
    Possible outs:
    Sagna
    Fabianski
    Vermaelen
    Arteta
    Flamini
    Podolski
    Giroud

    Possible ins:
    Montoya/Richards
    Viviano
    Ginter

    Pogba
    Reus
    Lukaku
    Draxler

Pogba alone would cost 50 million so I obviously don't expect all these to happen. Any two of the bottom group would be exceptional.
