No Vidic Or Sterling? Manchester United & Liverpool Combined XI

Ahead of the Manchester United vs Liverpool tie, I thought that I would put together what I feel is the current strongest 11 from the two sides. Comment below who would be in yours.

I am going for a 4-3-3, with David De Gea in goal. At right-back I would opt for Glen Johnson and on the left of defence I would choose Patrice Evra. Both full-backs are happy to bomb forward but are solid when being attacked.

In the middle of defence I would overlook Vidic and go for a pairing of Phil Jones and Daniel Agger, as I feel there is more composure about them.

In my midfield trio I would go for Steven Gerrard, who has been phenomenal this season in the deep-lying role, and I would have Jordan Henderson next to him. In the slot on the front of my midfield triangle I'd let Juan Mata have a free role.

He's be allowed to express himself in the playmaker role with a front three of Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturrdige and Luis Suarez ahead of him. I'd allow a fluid mix between the trio but that would be my team.
