No Torres? How Chelsea Should Line Up Against Aston Villa

Aston Villa are amongst the strugglers in the Premier League, though their form this season has been far better than last season. They have been pretty shoddy at Villa Park, though, and this weekend they host the club who sit seven points clear at the top of the division, Chelsea. Mourinho will know that his men will have to scrap for a win though, so if you were in charge of the Blues, how would you set your players up tomorrow?

This is how I see it.

I would go 4-3-3 with Petr Cech in goal. On the right of defence I would opt for Branislav Ivanovic, and Cesar Azpilicueta on the other side. They both provide a solid outline for the central pairing of John Terry and Gary Cahill, and combined they are the best backline in the Premier League.

In the central slots in midfield I would go for Nemanja Matic to provide the composure, Ramires to provide the energy and attacking prowess, and finally Frank Lampard to keep things ticking in both departments.

The wider roles pick themselves, as Oscar and Andre Schurrle are both in spectacular form, and I think Samuel Eto'o has to get the nod for the centre-forward role.

    What do you reckon, Blues?

Hopefully they'll line up with Schurrle on the bench.... the hat trick is about all he's done since he's been at the bridge...poor passing, poor efforts on goal.

    in no particular order....

Cech Branna, cahill, terry, Azpilicueta, matic, Lamps, salah, hazard, willian, oscar, Eto'o
