Arsenal Linked With Valencia Forward, But Who Is He And What Can He Offer?

Nicklas Bendtner is a man in hot water right now. His off-field antics have sparked huge debate over the forward's future at the club, but Arsenal aren't hanging around it would seem. The Daily Mail are suggesting that Arsene Wenger will make a move for Valencia forward Paco Alcacer. But who is he, and what could he offer the north London club? Here's my brief player report, along with a clip of what he's capable of.

The 20-year-old forward is a player who thrives in the air, which is something that I believe Arsenal are desperate for. He is quite an intimidating figure in the Valencia frontline but he has used that to his advantage. This season Alcacer has played 20 games and scored nine goals.

He spent last season at Getafe which has enhanced his game no end, and many fancy him for a move to a Champions League club.

The youngster struck the winner in his side's win over Barcelona last month and would offer something to Wenger that he doesn't currently have.

Although Olivier Giroud has had a strong season leading the line he needs a break, and Arsenal don't really have another established frontman. Though Alcacer is still cutting his teeth on the big stage I think the move would be a good one for all parties.
