Strong And Composed: Arsenal Should Move For This La Liga Striker Before It's Too Late

Real Madrid star striker Karim Benzema is still to renew his contract with the Bernabeau giants, leaving Arsenal to once again closely monitor the progress of the 26-year-old France international. Arsenal have expressed their interest in Benzema before and made moves to buy the player last summer and again in the January transfer window, but the two clubs never got as far as negotiating a deal.

Karim Benzema has been on hot form for Real Madrid this season but I believe he would represent a major coup for Arsenal who desperately need an out and out world class striker to deal with the huge amount of games in a season and as cover for fellow Frenchman Oliver Giroud. 

I believe his strong, physical presence up front would be vital to Arsenal’s attack next season, with such midfield talents in the squad able to supply him with the goals they have desperately needed at times. 

Arsene Wenger has finally got Arsenal’s defence together with Per Mertesacker steadying the ship alongside Laurent Koscielny, and is so close to finally having a healthy-sized squad to compete once again next season. 

With Benzema being such hot property, I believe Arsenal will have to pull out all the stops to prize away the player and offer him a lucrative contract to stop the likes of Juventus and Paris Saint Germain stealing his signature should he not agree a new deal with Real Madrid.
