Missing Link: Why Manchester United Should Move For Serie A Midfielder

Paul Pogba left Manchester United in 2012 after apparently falling out with Sir Alex Ferguson over a lack of playing time. Since the powerful Frenchman left Old Trafford for Juventus, he has made a huge impact and been a mainstay in the Italian champion's squad.

He has now burst into the French national side and has Manchester United undoubtedly regretting letting him go. But here's why David Moyes should attempt to regain Pogba's services for next season.

United have massive midfield problems, with one or two big names required to get them back on track, in my eyes. Carrick and Fellaini in particular have played well recently, but Moyes desperately needs a box to box midfielder, and that's exactly what Pogba does.

Despite his age, Pogba has a touch of class about him and can provide opportunities for the strikers, but he also gets stuck into tackles and breaks up play superbly.

He would fit into the midfield perfectly. He and Carrick behind the front four would provide much needed balance and create links between midfield and attack. However, Pogba claims he is happy in Italy, so United may have to look at alternatives to revive their midfield.
