THREE Tottenham Players Who Should Be Dropped After Embarrassing 1-0 Loss To Norwich

My beloved Tottenham followed their 1-0 loss midweek to Dnipro with another dull 1-0 loss away to Norwich this afternoon. Needless to say I am not happy, so here are three players who I believe should be dropped as a result.

1) Michael Dawson

Where do I start with Dawson? He's slow, he's weak and his positioning seems to get worse every single game. For a player of his size he's also pretty shoddy in the air and takes an age to turn when he is caught out, which in turn pulls the full-back inside.

He was caught out for Robert Snodgrass' goal and continually looked out of place when Norwich attacked, and although Spurs don't have a huge choice at the back right now I would look to drop him.

2) Nabil Bentaleb

As impressive as he was in his opening games for the club, I think it's about time the Algerian is dropped from the side. He had 69 touches of the ball yet did next to nothing when he receive it, and off the ball he wasn't much better.

He is also niggly when he gets tight to opponents and gives away a lot of fouls, which will probably grow out of him with experience.

3) Aaron Lennon

For a Premier League winger Lennon is certainly lacking ideas. If a full-back stands his ground and stands the little Spurs man up, then it is almost guaranteed that he cuts insides and looks for the cross. That doesn't sound too bad, but the fact that his delivery is worse than my local kebab shop makes it incredibly frustrating to watch.

Good choices!! I would add Danny Rose. I cannot believe that Tim Sherwood persists with Bentaleb. The boy is just not cutting at this level. I believe he would not get game time in any of the premier league sides.....no, not even Fulham will pick him game after game. I'm looking fwd to TS being shown the door at end of the season. He is just as inept as his boy-crush

Spurs shocking today! Team was slow and lacking in ideas. Please stop Dawson being the playmaker with his tank heavy passes. Dembele Rose Bentaleb Soldado Naughton Dawson Chadli (don't start me there) and Lennon are not good enough. No balance in team selection. Where was Eriksen? Poor Adebayor on his own. We just blew it again!

agreed, add naughton to the list and I'm afraid Sherwood is being found out as a manager.we were crying out for quality and penetration and who did he have on the bench er try erikson and townsend.
didn't need to start with such a negative midfield,bentaleb is a good prospect,not a guaranteed starter ffs!
soldado is bang short of confidence and needs to be played in Europa until he gets a goal.

agreed..when looking at the lineup..i don't see any creativity in the team..just don't understand why TS keeps on fielding Bentalab..he's good but he needs to be rested..furthermore, seems that TS has not been able to utilize the strengths of his players and squad..except for Ade, the rest are stagnant or poorer..

Yes on your first two, but Lennon was far and away our best player today. I can't work out what Ericksen has done, but the idea that he is not in the top 14 let alone first eleven is simply not credible. If Sherwood continues to select Bentaleb we wont even make top six. Why wasn't he sent on loan to Fulham, we could've kept Holtby.

I would also add Tim Shitwood to this list. The team prepared for this game with 4-14-1 formation. Within a few minutes we lost Capoue, and all hell broke loose. We didn't know what to do after that. Paulinho didn't want the job, Bentaleb cant do the job ( in fact he cant do any damn job) Mousa was not at the races today. So, Shitwood just could not come up with an alternative??? I find this amazing at this level.

Rose is not good enough for a top 10 side.naughton is a championship player.dawson is the same as rose. Paulinho looks like he has concrete in his boots.bentaleb should be used sparingly to help his development.chadli is the poorest and weakest tackler I have ever seen.someone needs to teach Lennon and Townsend how to be wingers.the team have no shape they play off the cuff all the time.there is no pattern to their game. It's eleven individuals playing 11aside football like there playing 5 aside.but most of all they need a rocket up their arses.no passion no desire no we will win at all costs

I totally agree about rocket up the arse paulinho dembeli in fact 99% of the team were sh*t today I think like most people timmy is the problem he does not seem 2 have a clue ,and what do his so called backroom staff do ,I am afraid its time levy , and baldini stood up and answered a lot of questions us the fans have
