12 Goals In 14 Games: Striker Would Welcome Arsenal Move, And Here's Why Gunners Should Make It Happen

We all dream of playing for the team we support as children. The glory of pulling on the shirt you owned as a kid would be too attractive to turn down should it ever be offered to us, and there is one man who could get the chance to do just that this month, as the Mirror are reporting that Porto striker Jackson Martinez is a target for Arsenal.

The big Colombian forward is said to be a lifelong fan of the club and has issued a come and get me plea, and here is why I would suggest that the north London side should go all out for his services.

Last season the 27-year-old scored 34 goals in his 43 games and tore up defences for fun. He is a strong player who can pull defenders out of position and invite his colleagues into play, but he is also a nimble player when on the ball.

This season he has scored 12 goals in 14 league games for the Portuguese side and he looks to continue that run. He can play with his back to goal and spin off defenders, which would benefit the likes of Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla who are on the flanks, but his main asset is the composure he holds.
