Bale must leave (Video)

After winning both the PFA player of the year and young player of the year awards this season and contributing 19 goals in the Premiership to help Tottenham fight for a Champions League place, surely Gareth Bale can finally claim to be one of the world's finest players at this moment in time. Although still only 23 years old he will be well aware that he is being mentioned in the same breath as Messi and Ronaldo and no doubt keen to start winning some trophies to go with the individual awards that he has picked up so far.

Whilst Andre Villas Boas has managed to get the best out of him this season by often giving him the freedom to play just behind a lone striker, it seems highly unlikely that Spurs can realistically challenge for league or European honours. Is now the right time for him to move elsewhere?

If Bale is to stay in England then it will require a huge bid for Tottenham to consider selling to a direct rival. Manchester City and Chelsea would seem like the only candidates to sign him, as Manchester United very rarely spend anything like the reported £50m plus that he would cost. If a move abroad is a possibility then perhaps Spain could be the preferred destination. The Welshman has admirers in both Barcelona and Madrid and it would be very interesting to see him line up in the colours of either giant club. Whatever his decision, it would seem best for his trophy aspirations to look away from White Hart Lane and assess where he has the best chance of success.

Strang e that so many writers want Bale to leave Tottenham just as they asked for Modric to Leave and basically bouyed the croatian into departure... What is in it for the authors of these stories... I never saw so many stories trying to get RVP to move on or even Rooney what is it all about?

@gog. It`s the usual, anti Spurs negativity, keep them down by unsettling Tottenham players. Old Red has the media in his hands and most are bleeding ManU, Arsenal FANS anyway. Tottenham are a club evolving into a top team and the old Sky Fab Four can`t take it, look at all the negative Meccashter Citeh articles in the press, they just hate it when they are challenged. What utter rubbish!!! Why should Bale leave? it seems that its the media who are making up all this speculation. Bale has said that he would honour his contract at Spurs. He loves life at Spurs, he doesn't want to take his baby abroad until the child is at least 4 to 5 years old. Now in regards to selling him to Chelsea or Man Utd..well there's no chance!!!
Spurs could of got more for Modric if he had gone to Chelsea, but Spurs or may I say Daniel Levy will not sell to teams who we are at presently keeping up with. Now in regards to Manchester Utd, there is no way that any transfer will happen between the clubs. Levy was really annoyed on how Manchester United got Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov, so there is no way will he allow or sanction any move that way. Now the Manchester United situation was made worse by Sir Alex Ferguson claiming that Spurs had cheated Man Utd out of money due to Fryers.... Just want to put Man City out of the loop, their owners are purchasing a team in the MLS and apparently Man City will have to start generating its own funds to buy players. Lastly, there is continuing rumours that Spurs themselves will be purchased by the Royal House of Qatar, then Spurs will have unlimited funds to bring in the players they need to start to challenge for higher places in the Premiership. That will obviously be another reason for Bales= to stay where he is..
So as to whether Bale will remain at Spurs, yes he will remain and he will continue to get better and better....
