FIVE Things We Learned From Chelsea's 2-1 Win Over Crystal Palace

Chelsea closed the gap to Premier League leaders Arsenal to just two points with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace. Here are five things we learned from the game.

      1) Palace are no pushovers

The capital side showed that under Tony Pulis they have created a solid foundation to the team and can argue that they deserved something from the game. They had 10 shots at goal, five of which were on target, and threatened throughout.

      2) Ramires can strike a ball

The Brazilian scored his first Premier League and what a hit it was. He opened his body up nicely and finessed it into the top corner of Julian Speroni's net with the keeper routed to the spot.

      3) Torres can score

The Spaniard has had a tough time at Stamford Bridge since his mega move a couple of years ago, but this season has been no different. His close range goal was only his second of the season but could provide a platform for many more.

      4) Palace need to work on their passing

During the 90 minutes Chelsea completed 519 of their 596 of their passes (87%) and Palace completed a rather measly 165 of their 239 (69%). Pulis isn't known for his passing, but they will need to improve it.

      5) Crossing practise is needed

Chelsea tried their luck with 18 crosses and Palace 13, with the former completing just four and the latter six.
