5 Left-Backs Manchester United Could Look At In January

David Moyes has made it public knowledge that he intends to reinforce his left-back area. Here are five players he could take a look at.

    1) Leighton Baines - Everton

The Everton man is David Moyes' first choice, I don't think anybody thinks differently. For me, Baines is the best left-back in Europe, possibly the world, and needs to be showcasing his ability on the Champions League stage.

Baines made 116 chances last season - more than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi combined.

    2) Luke Shaw - Southampton

Although the teenager has recently signed a new deal at St Mary's, a big money offer could perhaps tempt both him and the Saints. He is making waves in the Premier League and is part of the best defence in the league.

    3) Fabio Coentrao - Real Madrid

Moyes' late failed move for the Madrid full-back was well-documented on deadline day and many are expecting the Scot to go back with another offer in the new year.

    4) Filipe Luis - Atletico Madrid

A lesser known figure now in the shape of Luis. The 28-year-old has made seven La Liga appearances this season and average five defensive actions per game.

    5)  Oliver Sorg - Freiburg

The 23-year-old has had a fine year in the Bundesliga and has started this season just as well, despite the club's awful start to the season. They are yet to win in their opening eight games but has won 24/26 (92%) of his tackles.
